Tomson & Company was registered in 2008 and began full operations in 2016, founded on the vision of CPA Thomson Kwizina. With a distinguished career spanning over 25 years, Thomson honed his expertise at the highest levels within global accounting giants including Coopers & Lybrand Chartered Accountants, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte & Touché. Immediately prior to founding Tomson & Company, he served as a partner at Mungereza & Kariisa Certified Public Accountants for five years.

CPA Thomson Kwizina, Managing Partner

Thomson is the driving force behind Tomson & Company. With a career that began as an audit trainee at Coopers & Lybrand in 1990, he has amassed over 25 years of experience serving a diverse clientele across East Africa (Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi) and internationally (Ethiopia, Germany). His expertise spans manufacturing, financial services, NGOs, local government, and educational institutions. A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA UK), Thomson provides strategic leadership and ensures the firm’s unwavering commitment to quality.

CPA Jane Alimo, Senior Tax Manager

Jane brings over 15 years of specialized tax advisory experience to the firm. Previously with a leading tax consultancy in Kampala, she holds a Master’s degree in Tax Law and is an expert in Ugandan and cross-border tax matters. Jane leads our Business Tax and Advisory Services, helping clients navigate complex regulations and develop effective tax strategies.

Michael Lubega, Audit & Assurance Director

Michael is a seasoned audit professional with 18 years of experience, including a tenure at Deloitte East Africa. He holds an MBA and is a certified information systems auditor (CISA). Michael oversees our Audit and Business Advisory division, ensuring our risk-based approach provides clients with deep insights and robust assurance.
